  • KRC represents the Knowledge Resource Center. It is the central library of GITAM University.

  • KRC is located in the center point of GITAM University.

  • To find out your required title(s) and volumes, please visit our Web OPAC.

  • To find out the books by author, publisher, subject and edition, please visit our Web OPAC.

  • KRC provides different types of services, to know the details please go to services.

  • KRC is functioning from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

  • To find out your required journal please visit our Web OPAC.

  • A registered user of KRC can borrow books from the libraries.

  • The lending section of KRC will check out/check in books.

  • To know the no of books, please contact our lending section staff.

  • No we do not have this provision.

  • An Online Public Access Catalogue, abbreviated as OPAC, is an online database of materials held by a library or a group of libraries. It is used to search and locate books and other materials available at the library.

  • The Web OPAC can be used to search and locate the resources that are available in all the libraries across all campuses of GITAM or in a particular library. It provides details like the number of copies, location and the status of the item searched.

  • If the book title is not available,you may recommend it by email or through the Web OPAC book suggestion.

  • Yes, you can renew the book(s) online through the Web OPAC. First you have to login, then you can renew the books.But you should complete it before the overdue date.

  • You have to check the status of books through the Web OPAC.

  • Presently, we do not have a book reservation system.

  • No, you cannot check out the journal volumes.

  • Yes, you may check the list of items through the Web OPAC.

  • You will get the two e-mail reminders before overdue of library book you checked out.

  • You can borrow only print books via interlibrary loan.

  • Yes, our staff will notify you when interlibrary loan items arrive.

  • You may return the borrowed book in the lending section of KRC.

  • If you lost a book you have to contact our library staff and as per the library rules you have to solve it.

  • Please contact to librarian.

  • You will only get the full article from the subscribed journal.

  • You can access a specific library database, only if it is subscribed by KRC.

  • You can pay a library fine online through G-Pay. KRC does not receive cash for any transactions.

  • Visitors are allowed into the library but with due permission.

  • No, KRC does not have the provision of selling books to the student.

  • Presently, GITAM has subscribed to the Open Athens remote access software, through which you may access all the subscribed e-resources off-campus. To get the Open Athens login credential please contact the CATS department.

  • No, you cannot take a no-due certificate online.

  • In the periodical section of KRC, you will get the print magazines, journals and newspapers.

  • You can find information about online resources from the eResources webpage or at the digital library. Alternatively,you may contact the Deputy Librarian, Services deputylibrarian_services@gitam.edu to get more details.

  • Please approach our staff to get assistance to connect to the Wi-Fi at GITAM.

  • You can refer to the hard copy of the theses of GITAM in the Periodicals Section of KRC. You can also download the softcopy of the theses of GITAM from ShodhGanga website.

  • A user can return books on behalf of another library user, but borrowing is not allowed.

  • By producing the GITAM Alumni Card, one can use the KRC facilities. They can refer to the books and use the digital library but they do not have any borrowing privileges.
